Giorgio Grassi (born October 27, 1935 in Milan , Italy ) is an Italian architect .

meaning

Giorgio Grassi is seen as a major proponent of modern Italian rationalism. In his works since the 1970s he has been concerned with, among other things, how historical buildings and cities can be further developed and supplemented in such a way that an intensive dialogue, but no contradiction between old and new, arises. This contradicts postmodern fashions and experiments and today's star cult in architecture. In his writings he deals, among other things, with the topics of reconstruction and the “old city”.

In 1997 he was awarded honorary membership in the Association of German Architects BDA .
