Giorgio Rondelli

Giorgio Rondelli (born February 11, 1946 in Milan ) is an Italian athletics coach . 60 of his athletes were members of the national team and won a total of 76 Italian championships.

Life

After a short career as a middle distance athlete, he studied sport in Milan, worked as a physical education teacher at the middle school, before Rondelli established himself as a middle distance coach at his club Pro Patria Milano in Milan in the mid-1970s . In addition, he writes as an athletics expert for Corriere della sera , is a television expert for RAI and Radiotelevisione Svizzera and writes for long-distance runners' magazines. Due to his success, he was also the national coach of FIDAL and explains his training principles for all performance areas in his blogs . He is the technical director of the various road races, including a. des Strà a Milano . His training includes many racing-speed tempo runs based on long runs (and cross races) in winter.
