Life

Lentini was the son and pupil of Rocco Lentini and grandson of the decorative painter Giovanni Lentini the Elder (* 1830 in Trapani - 1890 in Palermo). He was mainly a painter of landscapes, genre scenes and female nudes. For his service in the First World War he was awarded the War Merit Cross and a bronze medal. In 1918 he continued his work as a painter and the Italian king bought several of his paintings, for example a picture of the bombing of the Church of St. Michael. In 1919 his war pictures were shown in a solo exhibition in the Galleria Vinciana in Milan. He also participated in other exhibitions in Italy, exhibiting works in Milan (1925), Monza (1925), Venice (1926), Brera (1920, 1923, 1925, 1932) and Rome (1935).
