Gisela Schinzel-Penth (born November 20, 1946 in Munich ) is a German writer, folklorist and publisher . Her literary work focuses on folklore and legends research . She became known nationwide through the book What Happened Really? which tries to explain New Testament texts as well as inexplicable religious events in a rational way. Gisela Schinzel-Penth's work also includes children's literature, audio books and fairy tale books.

Act

Gisela Schinzel-Penth studied pedagogy and worked as a teacher for a few years after completing her exams. Later she started working as a freelance writer. Her literary work extends to fairy tales, poems, short stories as well as homeland and non-fiction books.

Gisela Schinzel-Penth's book of fairy tales, The Blue Ball, summarizes all of the fairy tales she has written so far, some of which had previously appeared in books or broadcast on the radio. Like her role model, Wilhelm Hauff, she incorporated them into framework narratives. Her fairy tale books have been published partly illustrated by Norbert Gerstlacher , among others .

The main areas of her literary activity are folklore and research into legends. For almost 50 years she has been collecting sagas and legends from different districts of the country, mostly field research, and has published 15 books on this subject to date.

Her most important work, however, is a scientific book entitled What Really Happened Back then? . In it she compares Bible reports on the Passion of Christ with the statements of the visionaries AK Emmerich and Th. Neumann and the results of new scientific research in the fields of archeology , astronomy , chemistry , medicine , physics and computer science . The book is controversial and calls for opponents and supporters on the scene.

The works of Gisela Schinzel-Penth can be found in numerous domestic and foreign libraries, including university libraries, for example in Switzerland , Austria , Italy , the USA and the Vatican .

Gisela Schinzel-Penth also works for radio and television. These media broadcast a number of their fairy tales and stories. The author was also portrayed and her literary and folkloric activities were examined. She also works for newspapers and magazines.

Some of her stories were put together into theater plays under the title Die Hexe vom Wendelstein or Der Schwarze Ritter vom Rackersee , set to music by the musician and composer Andreas Hinterseher and have been performed several times since then. Together with the district of Upper Bavaria, museums and various local associations, the author organizes exhibitions on the topics: legends of the homeland, customs, historical clothing.

Since 2010 she has been working as a publisher at Ambro Lacus Buch- und Bildverlag.
