The Gissarskaya Astronomitscheskaja Obserwatorija (Cyrillic: Гиссарская астрономическая обсерватория) is an observatory near Hissor , 14 kilometers southeast of Dushanbe , the capital of Tajikistan .

It has an AZT-8 reflector telescope with a diameter of 700 mm, a wide-field camera, similar to a Baker-Nunn camera , with a 50 cm aperture and a mirror diameter of 1 meter and a number of smaller telescopes. Further telescopes are located in two branch offices. The main inner belt asteroid (2746) Hissao is named after the observatory.

Sanglok

About 90 km from Dushanbe on Mount Sanglok at an altitude of 2300 meters there is a mirror telescope from Carl Zeiss with a diameter of 1 meter and another with a diameter of 60 cm. The exact location is 38 ° 15 '40.1 "  N , 69 ° 13' 3.2"  O .

Murgab

The “Murgab” station is located in the Pamir at an altitude of 4350 meters. It has a reflector telescope with a diameter of 70 cm.
