Giuliano Ferraris (born February 16, 1935 in Bormio ; † February 7, 2016 ) was an Italian ice hockey goalkeeper who played for HC Bozen in the 1950s and 1960s , with whom he became Italian champions in 1963 .
Career
Ferraris, who came from Bormio in Lombardy , played for HC Bozen and was the goalkeeper of the team that won the club's first championship title in 1963 . Only from 1959 to 1961 he was not on the ice in Bolzano, but at HC Ortisei in Val Gardena .
In the second half of the 1950s, Ferraris played on the Italian national team . He took part with the Azzurri in the 1956 Winter Games in Cortina d'Ampezzo , when the team achieved the best Olympic result in their history with seventh place. Three years later he represented his colors at the World Cup in Czechoslovakia and finished tenth there with the Italians.
Ferraris died in February 2016 after a long illness.
