Giuliano Poletti
Giuliano Poletti (born November 19, 1951 in Imola ) is an Italian politician. He was Minister of Labor ( ministro del Lavoro ) from February 22nd, 2014 to June 1st, 2018 .
Life
Poletti was born in Spazzate Sassatelli, a suburb of Imola, as the son of a local farmer and graduated from an agricultural high school in Imola , which entitles him to use the professional title Perito Agrario . In the 1970s he was a member of the Partito Comunista Italiano (PCI) Assessor of Imola and in the 1980s he was chairman of the local section of the PCI. After the PCI had transformed into the social democratic Partito Democratico della Sinistra (PDS), he was elected for the PDS in consiglio provinciale of Bologna . After the PDS was absorbed into the Partito Democratico , Poletti left the party.
He was President of Legacoop from 2002 to 2013 and from 2013 he became President Alleanza delle Cooperative Italiane .
Poletti has a passion for handball and is Vice President of the Federazione Italiana di Pallamano .
