Giulio Campi
Giulio Campi (* around 1500 in Cremona ; † March 5, 1572 ibid) was an Italian painter.
The eldest son of Galeazzo Campi was already a pupil of Giulio Romano in 1522 , at that time in Mantua, from whom he learned not only painting but also sculpture and architecture, but is not an outstanding master. Exceptionally good is his high altar from 1527 in Sant Abondio in Cremona, Mary with the holy knights Celso and Nazaro, full of Venetian color beauty; on the other hand, his wall paintings in Santa Margarita there are cold and splayed. Campi died in 1572.
