Giuseppe Accattino

Giuseppe Accattino (sometimes also Accatino ; born September 28, 1914 in Genoa , † April 20, 1979 in Rome ) was an Italian film director , screenwriter and producer .

Life

Giuseppe Accattino, after graduating in architecture from the Academy of Fine Arts, attended the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. After a few documentaries that are considered lost, he founded the S.ILA (Società Italiana Lanci Artistici) film production company after the Second World War , with which he directed, wrote and produced his only feature film, Buffalo Bill a Roma , in 1949 . The film, in which he also used his partner Elly Starr , was panned by the critics and only awarded in 1951 (and again in 1953). Another planned project failed.
