Giuseppe Moretti (clergyman)
Giuseppe Moretti B (born November 10, 1938 in Recanati , Italy ) is an Italian clergyman. He was Superior ecclesiasticus of the Mission sui juris Afghanistan .
Life
Giuseppe Moretti joined the order of the Barnabites (Clerici regulares S. Pauli decollati or Paulaner). He was ordained a priest on March 9, 1963 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him superior of the autonomous mission sui juris in Afghanistan on May 16, 2002 (Superior ecclesiasticus seu Ordinarius loci). By decree of the Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples on the same day, he was appointed chaplain of the mission and received all the rights and powers of a diocesan bishop and apostolic prefect . In 2014 he retired.
