The Gláma is a pass road in the southern West Fjords of Iceland . The street is named after the mountain range of the same name .
The road is part of Vestfjarðavegur and is also called Dynjandisheiði or Dynjandisvegur after the Heiði crossed by it . It is quite well developed. There are no rivers to cross here.
The approach to the pass begins at Flókalundur , where the ferry that crosses the Breiðafjörður from Stykkishólmur arrives . The hamlet of Flókalundur is named after Flóki Vilgerðarson , the so-called raven-Flóki .
Shortly after Flókalundur, the road climbs in steep serpentines.
The dirt road leads from Flókalundur at Breiðafjörður over the mountains to Arnarfjörður . It reaches a height of 468 m at Helluskarð . At Helluskarð you come to a junction with road no. 63, which leads down into the branching fjords of Suðurfirðir to Bíldudalur .
The road leads on through the Dynjandisheiði to the waterfall Dynjandi to leave the ups and to run down into the valley of Arnarfjörður in steep switchbacks.
