Coordinates: 42 ° 8 ′  S , 148 ° 5 ′  E The Glamorgan Spring Bay Municipality is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Tasmania . The area is 2522 km² and has about 4400 inhabitants (2016).

Glamorgan Spring Bay is located on the central east coast of the island about 65 kilometers northeast of the capital Hobart . The area includes 13 hamlets and towns: Apslawn, Bicheno, Buckland, Coles Bay, Cranbrook, Dolphin Sands, Little Swanport, Orford, Pontypool, Rheban, Spring Beach, Swansea and Triabunna . The City Council is located in Triabunna in the southern half of the LGA, where around 750 people live (2016).

The Glamorgan Spring Bay Council has nine members. The mayor (mayor), his deputy (deputy) and seven councilors are directly elected by the residents of the LGA. Glamorgan Spring Bay is not divided into districts.
