The Glatt Group is a global leader in integrated process solutions for the development, refinement and manufacture of powders for the pharmaceutical, food, animal feed and fine chemical industries. The family company with headquarters in Binzen has more than 3000 employees in 15 branches worldwide.
history
Founded in 1954 by Werner Glatt in Weil-Haltingen, the company was initially still active in the construction of stove pipes, ventilation systems and dedusting systems. The company developed the first industrially usable fluidized bed system in 1959 for the pharmaceutical industry. These systems have been continuously developed; granulating, then coating and finally pelletizing came to the fore. In 1959 the Glatt company acquired the area and the buildings of the old Bühlmühle in Binzen, Werner Glatt's hometown, where the corporate group's headquarters are still located today. In 2013, Glatt founded its first production facility on the Indian subcontinent. The company founder Werner Glatt died in 2014. In 2016 a new administration building and an innovation center were built in Binzen.

The company operates in four core areas: Pharmaceutical Services, Process Technology Pharma, Process Technology Food, Feed & Fine Chemicals and Process & Plant Engineering to form an integrated solution portfolio. The company also develops pharmaceutical products such as pellets, granules, tablets and capsules.

The Glatt Pharmatech SASU (Dijon / France) sales and service center opened in 1983 and closed in 2013.
Partnerships
Since April 2011, the Glatt group of companies has been part of Allianz Excellence United , a partnership of five technically leading family companies in special machine construction for the pharmaceutical, medical technology and process industries.
