Glemstal Viaduct

The Glemstal Viaduct , known in the literature as the Glemstal Bridge , is a road bridge near Schwieberdingen . Federal highway 10 , which consists of two lanes, crosses the Glems on the viaduct . The frame bridge , built between 1960 and 1962, is based on a design by the civil engineer Hermann Bay and the architect Wilhelm Tiedje . The reinforced concrete structure spans the valley at a height of 37.80 meters and a length of 280 meters. The continuous concrete box girder of the superstructure merges in the apex area with the 114 meter spanned, box-shaped concrete arch.
