Glen Matthew Little (born October 15, 1975 in Wimbledon ) is an English football player . The right winger made 282 appearances for Burnley FC and is currently under contract with Gray's Athletic .
Player career
Glen Little started his career as a professional footballer in 1994 in his London home at Crystal Palace . There he was never used in a league game and was hired in August 1995 at the Northern Irish club Glentoran Belfast . There he gained his first experience in professional football and won the Irish Cup in 1996 .
He was then signed by Burnley FC . In 246 league games he scored 32 goals for his new club. In 2003 he was loaned to Reading FC and Bolton Wanderers .
From 2004 on, Little played for the first division club Reading FC , but he left in the summer of 2008 after relegation to sign with the FA Cup winners FC Portsmouth . There he came - also due to injury - only to eight competitive appearances in the 2008/09 season and the new coach Paul Hart loaned him to his ex-club from Reading in March 2009 until the end of the current season. After his return he received from "Pompey" the clearance for a move and after a successful trial session he signed a new one-year contract with Sheffield United in August 2009 .
In the summer of 2010 Little moved to Aldershot Town in Football League Two . There it was only used irregularly. A year later he joined the AFC Wrexham in the National League . In the playing years 2011/12 and 2012/13 he missed promotion with his team in the play-offs. Little stayed in Wrexham for two years and mostly came on as a substitute. He hired FC Wealdstone in the Isthmian League in the summer of 2013 and was promoted to his team at the end of the season. Since summer 2014 he played with a short break for Gray's Athletic in the Isthmian League.
