Glenn Corneille
Glenn Corneille (born July 13, 1970 in Venlo ; † August 23, 2005 in Baarn ) was a Dutch jazz and pop pianist.
Life
Corneille finished his music studies as a pianist with a focus on jazz in 1995 with "cum laude" at the Maastricht Conservatory . He worked with various bands and musicians, such as the Italian tenor Alessandro Safina . He was also active as a composer and arranger. In 2001 and 2002 he toured with Lennon & McCartney. In 2002 he recorded the internationally acclaimed album “finally” with Geert Roelofs (drums) and Werner Lauscher (bass). Most recently, Corneille was a participant in the North Sea Jazz Festival in The Hague .
Corneille was killed in a car accident, leaving behind his wife Chantal and two children.
