Glenn Gregory (born May 16, 1958 in Sheffield , Yorkshire ) became known worldwide as the singer of the English synth-pop formation Heaven 17 in the music scene.

In the early 1970s, Glenn Gregory was the singer and bassist for the band Music of Honor . Later he was the singer of the British band Vomit. His main job was to work in London as a retail salesman for the Co-Op grocery chain.

The legendary Music Club Leadmill was founded in 1980 in Sheffield in response to an inadequate cultural and musical offering for the youth scene, which is characterized by unemployment and political dissatisfaction.

Before Glenn began his musical career with the band Heaven 17, he worked as a photographer in Sheffield. A few weeks after making recordings of The Human League in the Leadmill for the music newspaper Melody Maker , his friend Martyn Ware asked him if he would like to do Heaven 17 in a follow-up project in connection with the band The Human League, which had just split up to participate. Even before the time of Human League, Glenn Gregory played together with Martyn Ware in the punk bands VDK and The Stud .

Following his musical career at Heaven 17, he has worked with a remarkable number of musicians, including the British Electric Foundation , John Lydon , Midge Ure , Ultravox , Grace Jones , Propaganda , Tina Turner and Terence Trent D'Arby .

1996 produced and recorded the CD Skyscraping together with Martin Fry from ABC after he was left by his music colleague Mark White, where Keith Lowndes also played. From this triple constellation, the project The Magic Skulls was formed , which made experimental dance sound. However, they have published nothing.

1997 called Gregory Keith Lowndes the Dance - Ambient -Formation Honeyroot to life, which has released two CDs so far.
