The Gljúfrabúi or Gljúfurárfoss is a 40 meter high waterfall in southern Iceland .
The waterfall is about 600 meters north of the larger and better known Seljalandsfoss on Þórsmerkurvegur, road 249, which, as the name suggests, leads to Þórsmörk . From the outside of the road, only the falling edge and the upper part of the waterfall can be seen. Then it disappears into a short ravine that is accessible. Gljúfur is the Icelandic word for gorge and a búi is a resident. In 2018 the Gljúfrabúi was conquered by a kayaker for the first time .
