The Gnadenkirche is a Protestant church building in Clarholz in the Gütersloh district . It is a branch church of the Evangelical Reconciliation Parish Rheda-Wiedenbrück in the parish of Gütersloh of the Evangelical Church of Westphalia .
history
After the Second World War , the number of evangelical believers in Clarholz increased sharply due to displaced persons and refugees. First, the congregation celebrated their services in the hall of a restaurant. In July 1952 the Gnadenkirche was inaugurated in a new settlement. The regional church, the Gustav-Adolf-Werk and the Evangelical Emergency Community for the Gütersloh parish took over the financing of the new building . The name refers to the Silesian tradition of the grace churches .
