The Goat Peak is a 7,001 ft (2,134 m) high mountain in the North Cascades in the State of Washington . The summit offers expansive views of both the Methow River Valley and many other outstanding cascade peaks such as Silver Star Mountain . An operating United States Forest Service fire watchtower is installed at the summit. The entry point for a hiking trail to Goat Peak is accessible from Forest Road 52 , 1 mi (1.6 km) southeast of Mazama ; it begins at 5,600 ft (1,707 m) altitude.

The summit described here is one of three eponymous summits in Washington.
