Goetersstrasse 4 (Mönchengladbach)
The residential building Goetersstraße 4 is in the Rheydt district in Mönchengladbach ( North Rhine-Westphalia ).
The building was built in 1869. It was entered under No. G 008 on September 24, 1985 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .
architecture
The former villa “Goeters” forms the counterpart to the small villa “Nacken” on the opposite corner property, which it served as a model. With their main façade, both are oriented towards a garden in front of Mittelstrasse and form an assembly of high urban value.
It is a free-standing two-storey villa building with a cubic structure on a high basement, topped with a high jamb . The flat sloping hipped roof is hardly effective in the facade view.
Worth preserving as an ensemble of buildings completed by interior fittings and gardens, which can exemplarily document the appearance of a factory owner's villa from the early Wilhelminian era .
