The Gold Head is a cape on the east coast of South Georgia . It forms the northern limit of the entrance to Gold Harbor .
The cape was named at the suggestion of Commander C. J. Gratton of the Royal Navy , who carried out surveys here in 1958, and is derived from Gold Harbor.
