The Golden Pass (English for Golden Pass ) is a snowy mountain pass in the north of Alexander I Island off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It runs at an altitude of 1250 m on the north side of Care Heights in the Rouen Mountains .
The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1977 after the color of the granite rock on either side of the pass.
