The Golden Film (from the left: Gouden Film ) is a Dutch film award given to Dutch films with more than 100,000 cinema- goers. The prize for the film is accepted by the director , producer and leading actor on behalf of those responsible .

The award is an initiative of the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund. These also award the Golden Calf . By January 1, 2003, the prize had already been awarded to 75,000 visitors. However, since many films reached this hurdle, the required number of visitors was increased to 100,000.

The trophy consists of wood pulp and represents the impression of a film set. For each winning film, a statue is awarded to the producer and the director.
