The Golden Horn (Croatian Zlatni rat ) is one of the most popular beaches in Croatia . It is located on Brač (near the place Bol ), an island in the Dalmatia region in front of the city of Split on the Adriatic Sea .

The beach has the shape of a sickle or a horn . It protrudes from the island a few hundred meters into the sea and consists of small, round pebbles that move with the current over a long period of time. The shape of the beach changes so that the tip points sometimes in one direction, sometimes in the other. This effect is caused by the different water currents and the different water levels.
