The Goldspot dwarf harlequin ( Boraras merah ) is a small carp fish from the western and southern parts of Borneo .

features

B. merah reaches a size of 20 mm. It is characterized by an oval spot on the side, which is surrounded by a light pink border. From this spot a more or less pronounced pink stripe extends to the caudal fin.

Adult females are more rounded than males and often slightly larger. The males are usually more intensely colored.
