Gomez is a British indie rock - band from Southport in England , which in 1996 was established.
Band history
Her 1998 debut album, Bring It On , received good reviews in both Europe and the US and was awarded the Mercury Music Prize . The band, which is still in the same formation as in the year it was founded, subsequently released several albums, which also achieved good chart positions in Great Britain, the USA and Australia. Gomez is largely unknown in Germany.
The band was signed to Virgin Records until the release of Split the Difference (2004) . The following albums from 2005 appeared on ATO Records. A retrospective Five Men in a Hut with their singles, B-sides and rarities appeared in October 2006 on the Hut / Virgin label.
