GommeHD (also Gomme ; bourgeois: Michael Renk ) is a German web video producer who publishes Let's Plays on the YouTube video portal in particular . He gained fame primarily through the establishment of the Minecraft multiplayer network of the same name , GommeHD.net .

Life

Renk is the managing director of IndieLemon GmbH & Co. KG , which was founded on June 17, 2013 under the name GommeHD Media UG . Since September 23, 2016, this has belonged to GommeHDnet GmbH, which is also managed by Renk.

Youtube channel

At first, Renk, with the support of his brother, ran a channel called MichiGaming that included Minecraft videos as well as isolated vlogs . He removed these videos before the success on his main channel today, from now on with the motivation to preserve his own privacy.

With the founding of the GommeHD channel on July 19, 2012, Renk focused on Minecraft Let's Plays. The “Let's Troll” variant became particularly popular, with Renk exploiting the possibilities of his own Minecraft server in order to compromise the gaming experience of his viewers in the best possible humorous way.

With increasing popularity, he produced more videos with other large German-speaking Let's Players such as ZeronikHD , Simon Unge , Rewinside , GermanLetsPlay and ConCrafter, and took part in major Minecraft projects. These include the Minecraft Mega Project , Minecraft Varo 1–4 , Minecraft HERO , Minecraft Sky , Craft Attack 4 to 7 , Minecraft Aura , Minecraft Marc and Minecraft Life .

Another format on his channel is Gomme Says , which is a conversion of the game Simon Says for Minecraft. In addition, he introduces Minecraft modifications , mini-games and adventure maps.

In addition to Minecraft, he also produced videos for Grand Theft Auto 5 Online , and since the beginning of 2018 also Fortnite and formerly Cube World .
