GermanLetsPlay (born February 9, 1992 ; bourgeois Manuel ) is a German web video producer , particularly of Let's Plays , which he publishes on the YouTube video portal . He was best known for his videos on various retro games, flash games and Minecraft . His trademarks are a mask and a blue and black striped sweater.

Life

Little is known about his life. He was born on February 9, 1992 and has three brothers and a sister. Two of his brothers are also active on YouTube under the names DebitorLP and SibstLP .

Career on YouTube

He founded his first channel with the name GermanLetsPlay on February 28, 2010. After receiving two so-called strikes due to copyright infringements , he founded the GermanLetsFail channel on November 13, 2010 , which in the event of a third strike would block the account would have meant, should be used. In September he founded the GermanLetsTrash channel , which from then on was used to upload videos that were questionable under copyright law. However, since he claims to have overlooked a copyright infringing video on his old channel, GermanLetsPlay was banned on December 31, 2010 due to a third strike. Although the channel was usable again in March 2012 after consulting YouTube support, due to the high number of subscribers and the bureaucratic effort , he decided to continue uploading his Let's Plays to GermanLetsFail. Since the possibility of renaming was introduced in May 2013, he was able to rename his account to GermanLetsPlay and publish his videos again under the original name.

The channels GermanLetsButton and GermanLetsButton2 , which also belong to him and on which mostly real-life videos were uploaded, were deleted in 2015 after years of inactivity.

The GermanLetsPlay channel reached the 1 million subscriber mark on December 4, 2014.

According to the spieletipps.de portal , GermanLetsPlay was the third largest German gaming YouTuber in January 2020 (measured by the number of subscribers). The first and second places went to Gronkh and Paluten .
