Gong Xiangyu ( Chinese  龚翔宇 , Pinyin gōng xiáng yǔ ; born April 21, 1997 in Lianyungang , Jiangsu Province ) is a Chinese volleyball player .

Gong won the gold medal with the Chinese national team at the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro . In 2018, the diagonal attacker won bronze with the national team in the Nations League and the World Cup in Japan and won the Asian Games in Jakarta . In 2019 she again won bronze in the Nations League and the World Cup in Japan.

Gong has been playing at Jiangsu ECE volleyball since 2015 , with which she won the Chinese championship in 2017. In 2019 she won the Asian AVC Club Championship with Tianjin Bohai Bank.

Gong has received several awards in her career as the "best diagonal player".
