Gonzalo Álvarez , full name Gonzalo Martín Álvarez Nieves , (born March 29, 1991 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan football player .
Career
The 1.85 meter tall defensive player Álvarez moved at the beginning of his career in August 2013 from first division racing on loan to the Segunda División for the newly promoted Canadian Soccer Club . In the 2013/14 season he played 18 second division games there and scored one goal. He returns to Racing at Apertura , but was not used in the Primera División in the 2014/15 season . At the beginning of February 2015, he again joined the Canadian Soccer Club and played seven times (no goal) in the second-highest Uruguayan league in the 2015 Clausura. Beyond the end of the season (as of August 10, 2017), there have been no appearances or a member of the squad for him.
