Gonzalo Cañas
Gonzalo Cañas (born July 7, 1937 in Cuenca , † October 29, 2012 in Madrid ) was a Spanish actor and puppeteer .
Life
Cañas made his acting debut in the 1962 film Cerca de las estrellas and became popular with the Confidencias de un marido shown the following year , in which he played alongside Rafaela Aparício . Other successful films alongside female stars in 1965 were La frontera de dios (with Julia Gutiérrez Caba and Concha Velasco ) and in 1969 Soltera y madre en la vida (alongside Lina Morgan ). Later he also took on television work. In 2001 Cañas founded the "Teatro de Autómatas" and realized his long-standing dream of his own puppet theater. With his 35 characters he toured all over Europe.
