Gordon is a village in Darke County in the US state Ohio in the United States with 190 inhabitants ( as of 2000) .

history

Gordon was first measured in 1849 and named after one of the first settlers. Gordon was at a junction of the "Dayton and Union Railroad" and the "Ohio Valley Electric Railway" railroad lines.

Demographics

After the census of 2000, there 190 people in 74 households and 58 families lived. The population density was 188.2 inhabitants per km ². Ethnically, the population was made up of 100% white people.

Of the 74 households, 40.5% had children and adolescents under the age of 18 living with them. 67.6% were married couples living together, 6.8% were a single mother, and 21.6% were non-families. 17.6% were made up of single households and 4.1% were living alone who were 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.57 and the average family size was 2.93 people.

In relation to the entire town, the population consisted of 29.5% residents under 18 years of age, 4.2% between 18 and 24 years of age, 38.4% between 25 and 44 years of age, 22.6% between 45 and 64 years of age 5.3% were 65 years of age or over. The median age was 34 years. For every 100 females there were 102.1 males. For every 100 women aged 18 or over there were statistically 103.0 men.

The median income for a household in the city was $ 35,750 , and the median income for a family was $ 38,125. Males had a median income of $ 35,833 versus $ 21,607 for females. The per capita income was $ 16,949. 0% of families and 0.5% of the population are below the poverty line.
