Goslab

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Goslab is an artist group founded in 2000 in Tbilisi , Georgia .

The name Goslab (Russian: Гослаб ) is made up of the Russian words Государственная ( Gosudarstvennaja , German: state ) and лаборатория ( Laboratorija , German: Laboratorium ). The neologism is intended as a playful approach to the Soviet past of the country Georgia, than anything Gos was. Laboratory should appeal to the will to progress.

The group's work was presented, for example, in 2003 at the International Short Film Festival in Oberhausen , in 2004 at the Oldenburg Short Film Festival and in 2010 at Image Movement in Berlin .
