Bayog is a Filipino municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Sur on the island of Mindanao . It has 33,591 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who live in 28 barangays . The community is described as partially urban .
The community of Bayog lies on the banks of the Sibuguey and Dipili Rivers and is accessible via the Maharlika Highway from the provincial capital Pagadian City . In 1995 the community received the Philippines' annual award for the river with the best water quality, the Dipili River.
