Tukuran is a Filipino municipality in the province of Zamboanga del Sur on the island of Mindanao . It has 39,820 inhabitants (August 1, 2015 census) who live in 25 barangays .
The community is located about 25 km east of the center of the provincial capital Pagadian City and can be reached by bus in 40 to 45 minutes via the Maharlika Highway . Barangay Militar is home to one of Tukuran's historic tourist attractions, The Fort , an 18th century Spanish fortress . The Eco-Parc and the Busay waterfalls are located in Barangay Baclar .
