Gottfried Aegler

Gottfried Aegler (born May 10, 1932 in Erlenbach im Simmental ) is a Swiss musician from the canton of Bern .

Life

His parents were innkeepers and ran the Linde restaurant . There Gottfried Aegler came into contact with folk music at an early age . He completed an apprenticeship as a typographer and took clarinet lessons with Willy Tautenhahn at the music school of the Bern Conservatory . Before he founded the Ländlerkapelle Gottfried Aegler , he played in his father's formation. Brass music was also part of his field of activity - first he played the clarinet there and then worked as a conductor . In 1976 he took over the music publishing house of accordionist Maurice Thöni in Lausanne . In 1980 he constituted an 11-man brass band with the aim of recording compositions by Maurice Thöni. He was a member of the jury at all federal country music festivals. In 1989 he was awarded the Golden Treble Clef for his musical achievements.
