Gottfried Hemetsberger

Gottfried Hemetsberger (born February 8, 1952 in Feldkirch ) is an Austrian pianist and music teacher .

Live and act

Hemetsberger completed studies at the Musikhochschule and University of Vienna , including piano with Walter Panhofer . He completed his studies with Jörg Demus , V. Margulis, St. Neuhaus. Since 1980 he has been teaching at the Anton Bruckner Private University for Music (formerly Bruckner Conservatory) in Linz , Upper Austria. In 2004 he qualified as professor for piano. In 2005 F. Noetzel published the compendium “Basics of Artistic Piano Playing”. Hemetsberger headed the keyboard instruments department in Linz for 20 years and has given concerts in Europe as well as the USA, Africa and Asia. He is particularly fond of the Viennese Classic and German Romanticism . CDs are also dedicated to these styles.
