from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Gottfried Justus Frankenfeld (also Gottfried Justin ) (born December 13, 1741 in Clausthal , † October 7, 1808 in Seelze ) was a German Lutheran pastor.

Life

The son of a forest clerk studied Protestant theology in Göttingen from 1759 to 1763 . He left a register with numerous entries and verses that gave insights into the social culture of the academic youth of Göttingen at the time and the educated middle-class circles.

1774–1777 he worked first as an interim preacher at St. Johannis in Göttingen and then as a pastor in Döhren . In 1779 he put on a baptismal register in tabular form. In 1789 he took up the parish office in Seelze as the successor to Wilhelm Johann Julius Hoppenstedt . When in 1790 he suggested adding a new spike to the church tower for the newly acquired strike clock, the cost dispute with the six outlying villages escalated again. After four superintendent services were donated in Hanover in 1797, he became the first superintendent of the Seelze Inspection, which was newly established after the Wunstorf inspection was divided, with the parishes of Seelze, Kirchwehren , Dedensen , Marienwerder ,Ricklingen , Horst and Osterwald Castle . Frankenfeld stayed in Seelze until his death after a stroke.

In Döhren, a street laid out in 1929 is named after him.
