Gottfried Palatin (* 1959 in Steinberg in Burgenland , Austria ) is a contemporary designer / artist with a focus on glass and porcelain design . He lives and works in Mödling near Vienna . His works have been presented in exhibitions and design fairs in various countries around the world (including Maison & Objet Paris , Ambiente Frankfurt , ICFF New York ).

Even before and during his collaboration with manufactories, he developed porcelain objects with which he explored the limits of feasibility.

These different collections were realized using different glass techniques such as surface cut , painting, engraving , diamond cut and overlay .

  • For the Vienna Porcelain Manufactory Augarten :
    • Palatin collection ("Vario1", "Vario 2", "Lola", "Fiore", "Bolino", "Vario floor vase") - consisting of variable vases, jar, bowl and salt vessel.
    • New Tableware by Gottfried Palatin new, multifunctional 20-piece Augarten table service.

The service of individual, variably combinable parts should meet the requirements of international cuisine and can be used for various dishes. There are u. a. Tapas bowls , sushi platters , rectangular rounded and large round plates for vegetarian and meat dishes. The service parts can be provided with a logo decor specially developed by Palatin for the respective customer.

From 2014 he concentrated on the development of his own porcelain collections, such as lidded boxes with stained glaze that flew the edges.
