Gottfried von der Linde
Gottfried von der Linde († July 25, 1379 ) was a Komtur , later Marshal of the Teutonic Order in Prussia .
By 1360 Gottfried von der Linde had already fought victoriously in the ranks of the order against the Lithuanians , Prussians , Russians and Tatars . On November 28, 1371 he was Commander in Ragnit , then from February 2, 1372 to November 22, 1374 Commander in Balga and finally in 1374 was Supreme Marshal of the Order in Prussia. He held the position until his death. In 1377 Marshal Gottfried crossed the Grauden with Duke Albrecht of Austria and his army of 30,000 men on their way back from Ragnit to Königsberg .
