Gottlieb Mueller

Gottlieb Müller (born July 11, 1721 in Kemberg ; † August 9, 1793 there ) was a German Protestant theologian .

Life

The son of the Kemberger provost and superintendent August Müller and his wife Elenore Christine (née Nitzsch) attended the city school in Kemberg from 1727 and was at the Wittenberg Lyceum from 1733. In 1738 he moved to the University of Wittenberg and on April 30, 1740 acquired the degree of master's degree . On September 30, 1742, he earned a master's legens the read-aloud permission at universities and was posted on April 16, 1744 adjunct to the philosophical faculty.

In 1746 he became his father's substitute and after his father's death in 1750 he took over the provost and superintendent's office in Kemberg. From 1753 he was an honorary member of the Society of Liberal Arts in Leipzig. To obtain the theological academic doctorate , he received his doctorate in 1775.

With his book about Anne Elisabeth Lohmann he triggered the first devil's quarrel . On April 30, 1790, his doctorate at the Wittenberg University was renewed.

In terms of genealogy, it should be noted that on July 10, 1755, he married Johanna Karoline Sophie, the daughter of the Electoral Saxon captain on Rietz and Lüdendorf Hanns Liebmann von Kötteritz. This marriage resulted in 5th sons and 2nd daughters. Are known:
