Årby burial ground
The cemetery of Årby ( Swedish Årby gravfalt ) is located in Hallstahammars kommun , west of Västerås in the Swedish province of Västmanland and the historic province of Västmanland .
On the approximately 150 × 60 m measured burial site located about 47 prehistoric plants. These include three burial mounds , 35 stone settings (25 round, eight square, one triangular), six building stones (five fallen over) as well as two domar rings ( German "Richter rings" ) and two ship settings ( Swedish Skeppssättning ), including one restored in 1967, about 18 m long and 5 meters wide ship setting. One of the burial mounds is two meters high and has a diameter of 18 meters.
