Grégory Beaugrard
Grégory Beaugrard (born January 25, 1981 in Rouen ) is a French football player .
Career
Youth and years in Bois-Guillaume (until 2008)
Beaugrard came from the northern French city of Rouen and began playing football at a club from neighboring Bihorel . From there, he succeeded in moving to the youth department of the former first division club FC Rouen . However, he did not get the chance of being accepted into the first team, which is why he moved to the fifth division club FUSC Bois-Guillaume , also located in the region, in the summer of 1999 . With this, the defender , who was occasionally called up in midfield , was able to establish himself and therefore stayed permanently while he also completed a sports degree. In 2004 he rose to the fourth highest division with his team. In this she was able to hold for three years before relegation followed in 2007. A year later he said goodbye to the FUSC after a total of nine seasons and found a new employer in the neighboring fourth division US Quevilly .
Captain's office and cup appearances in Quevilly (since 2008)
At Quevilly, where he also only played under amateur conditions, he was an integral part of the first team and belonged to a team that, despite its distance to the top leagues in the national cup, could draw attention to itself. This was successful for the first time in the 2009/10 cup season , when the team beat two top division clubs, the Stade Rennes and US Boulogne , and were only eliminated in the semi-finals.
2011 also succeeded in promotion to the nationwide third division, although the amateur status was retained. Beaugrard, who was also part of a coaching duo for the U-19 team, was captain at the time. Once again, his team performed strongly in the cup competition and, after victories over the first division side Olympique Marseille and again Stade Rennes, moved into the national cup final in 2012 . When they met the top club Olympique Lyon , Quevilly was defeated 0-1, but in recognition of the performance of the third division club, Beaugrard was allowed to receive the trophy as captain on behalf of his team. He had thus participated in this final without ever having been a professional in the first or second division. A year later he had to accept relegation to the fourth division with his team. He remained loyal to Quevilly, but lost his regular place in the 2014/15 season. In the summer of 2015 he returned to his now only sixth class youth club FC Rouen to strengthen its first team.
