The living space is in Western Pomerania , about 80 kilometers northeast of Stettin and about 25 kilometers southwest of Kolberg . The nearest neighboring villages are Starnin (Sternin) about 2 ½ kilometers northeast, Smokęcino (Schmuckenthin) about 2 kilometers southeast and Kiełpino (Kölpin) about 2 kilometers southwest.

The living space was first mentioned in 1666 when "des blessed Wilke von Manteuffel zu Grandhof widow" was mentioned. In the 18th century, Grandhof belonged to the respective owners of the Kölpin C estate , as did the neighboring Schmuckenthin . In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's detailed description of the current state of the Royal Prussian Duchy of Western and Western Pomerania (1784), Kölpin lists "Grandhof with a Vorwerk, a sheep farm and 2 hearths", which, like Schmuckenthin, is a "knight's seat" Residence of a landowning nobleman. After several changes of ownership, Grandhof belonged to the owner of Kölpin B.

Around 1890, the then owner of Kölpin B sold the main part of Kölpin B, but kept Grandhof for himself. Since then, Grandhof has been run as its own farm. At the end of the 1890s an August Krönig bought Grandhof and remained the landowner until 1945. As of 1939, the Grandhof farm comprised 261 hectares of land, 210 hectares of which were arable; 25 horses, 120 cattle and 100 pigs were kept.

Grandhof initially belonged to the Kölpin B estate district . Around 1890, a separate estate district Grandhof was formed. With the dissolution of the estate districts in Prussia, Grandhof was incorporated into the rural community of Kölpin in 1928 . Until 1945 Grandhof formed a residential area in the community of Kölpin and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district .

In 1871 there were 77 inhabitants in Grandhof, in 1919 78 inhabitants and in 1939 45 inhabitants.

In 1945, Grandhof, like all of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. The place name was Polonized to "Grąd".
