Raciborów (Brojce)

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Raciborów (German Vogelsang ) is a residential area in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland . He belongs to the Gmina Brojce (municipality of Broitz) in the Powiat Gryficki (district of Greifenberger) .

The living space is in Western Pomerania , about 80 kilometers northeast of Stettin and about 25 kilometers southwest of Kolberg . To the north of the development, Voivodship Road 105 runs in a west-east direction . The village of Kiełpino (Kölpin) is just under 1 kilometer west of the voivodship road, the village of Smokęcino (Schmuckenthin) a good 1 kilometer east.

The living space emerged from the operation of the Kölpin A estate . In Ludwig Wilhelm Brüggemann's detailed description of the current state of the Royal Prussian Duchy of Western and Western Pomerania (1784) the shepherd's farm Vogelsang is mentioned "on the field of the village to the south-east near a beech wood called the Fier". It belonged to the Kölpin A estate, as well as two farms , four farms, a Kossate and the forge. Vogelsang later developed into an estate operation for the Kölpin A.

Kölpin A was an old fiefdom of the noble Manteuffel family , but has changed hands several times since the 18th century. In the 1920s, the then owner Fritz Schwerdtfeger sold Vogelsang to the owner of the neighboring Schmuckenthin estate , Theodor von Wentzel. This operated Vogelsang until 1945 as a subsidiary of Schmuckenthin. As of 1939, the Vogelsang estate comprised 190 hectares of land, 130 hectares of which were arable; 6 horses and 65 cattle were kept.

Vogelsang belonged to the Kölpin A estate district and was incorporated into the Kölpin rural community with this during the First World War. Until 1945 Vogelsang formed a place to live in the community of Kölpin and belonged with this to the Kolberg-Körlin district .

In 1945 Vogelsang, like the rest of Western Pomerania, came to Poland. The place received the Polish place name "Raciborów".
