Giovanni Pérez Rodríguez (born May 26, 1984 in El Cotillo ) is a former Spanish football player .

Career

Giovanni began his career with FC Valencia . For the 2003/04 season he moved up to the squad of the club's B team . He made his debut in the Segunda División B in August 2003 when he was in the starting line-up against CD Castellón on the first day of that season . He scored his first goal in the third division in September 2003 in a 3-1 win against UE Lleida . At the end of the season he had to relegate to the Tercera División with Valencia Mestalla .

For the 2005/06 season he moved to the third division CD Alcoyano . For Alcoyano he completed 17 games in the Segunda División B that season, in which he was able to score one goal. In 2006 Giovanni joined the UE Lleida. After half a year at Lleida, in which he had made eleven league appearances, he moved to AD Ceuta in January 2007 . For this he completed 18 games in the Segunda División B and scored five goals.

For the 2007/08 season he joined the RC Portuense . For Portuense he played 18 games that season and scored three goals. In 2008 he moved to UD Fuerteventura . For this he completed 20 third division games in the 2008/09 season, in which he remained without hits. The club had to be relegated from Segunda División B at the end of the season.

Then Giovanni played for the fourth-rate clubs AEC Manlleu , Atlético Baleares and FC Burjassot . In August 2011 he moved to the Austrian second division team SKN St. Pölten . He made his debut in the second division in September 2011 when he came on as a substitute for Michael Ambichl on the eleventh match day of the 2011/12 season against LASK in the 65th minute . In the winter break of that season, he left the club after six games.

He then returned to Spain, where he was the third-rate Ontinyent CF joined. For Ontinyent he was used in eleven third division games by the end of the season. After his engagement at Ontinyent he played for the CD Acero , the Pego CF and the CF Gandia before ending his career in 2015.
