Club Deportivo Alcoyano ( Valencian Club Esportiu Alcoià ) is a Spanish football club from the city of Alcoy . Club currently plays in the Tercera Division .

history

CD Alcoyano was founded in 1929 following the merger of the city's two clubs, Racing Alcoy and Levante . In 1942 they were promoted to the Segunda División for the first time , and in 1945, just three years later, they won the league and were allowed to participate in the Primera División the following year . Overall, the club played four seasons in the top division (1945/46, 1947/48, 1948/49, 1950/51).
