Grave slabs in Lübeck Cathedral

The grave slabs of Lübeck Cathedral have been repeatedly described by research over the past 250 years; according to the latest status, 352 former and still existing grave monuments up to the year 1600 are documented in the corpus of medieval grave monuments in Lübeck . In addition, there are the grave slabs from 1600 up to the abolition of church burials in Lübeck, so the following list is a small sample selection.

1509 268 The Lübeck bishop was buried in the choir of the cathedral. His grave slab with the figure of the blessing bishop was erected at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century on the southern wall of the choir near the rood screen.
