Bruno Warendorp (* probably 1255 ; † June 29, 1341 in Lübeck ) was a Lübeck mayor at the beginning of the 14th century.

Life

Warendorp was elected mayor of the city in 1301 and held this office for 40 years. His house was at Mengstrasse  14. He was named in 1307 as the tenant of the municipal meadows on the Trave and was the owner of the Israelsdorf estate . He gave the village of Mallentin to his son Gottschalk Warendorp in 1331 . The Lübeck Cathedral he founded in 1332 a stipend . His wife Hellenburgis († 1316), who died early, was first buried under a stone grave slab in Lübeck Cathedral. Together with his wife Hellenburgis, he was buried in the Warendorp Chapel he built on the south side of the cathedral under a preserved figure grave slab with (no longer preserved) brass inlays.
